Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The annual tradition of Dining Out for Life continues tonight, as for the ninth year, area restaurants will donate a portion of sales toward AIDS Community Services. Organizers say all you have to do is donate your appetite.

Tom Lombardo of Ristorante Lombardo, and his wife Donna are co-chairs this year. “We have almost 100 restaurants participating. We raised $89,000 last year and are hoping to raise more this year, ” says Tom Lombardo. He says the restaurant community steps up to the plate for charities, especially AIDS Community Services. “This is a great event and one of the most important charities to contribute to,” says Lombardo.

In all, 94 restaurants are taking part, and Lombardo says all you have to do is show up and dine. “Donate your appetite. There’s probably a restaurant in your area, whether it’s your favorite restaurant or someplace new you’ve wanted to try, that’s participating. All you have to do is dine out and we’ll do the rest.”
